To My Fellow Comic Creators,
Comixology wants self-published comics. The digital comics distributor for Marvel, DC, Fantagraphics, and 30,000+ comics — the “iTunes of comics” — is now asking independent creators to submit comics. That means you and me, with no publisher required.
The details are listed at the web address below, but here are a few highlights.
- You keep all your own rights to the comics.
- You keep 50% of the sales price (50% of the gross if bought on their website, 50% of the net if bought via digital devices).
Who gets in? Comixology calls their selection process “a work in progress.”
